Dr. Allard den Dulk is Lecturer in Philosophy, Literature and Film at Amsterdam University College, and Research Fellow at the Faculty of Humanities of the VU University Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
He studied History and Journalism at the University of Groningen, and Philosophy at the VU University Amsterdam. He was Lecturer in Modern Philosophy and Aesthetics at the VU from 2004 to 2012, before moving to AUC. He has published articles on philosophy, literature and film. In 2012, he finished his dissertation on philosophy and contemporary American literature. His monograph Existentialist Engagement in Wallace, Eggers and Foer: A Philosophical Analysis of Contemporary American Literature is out with Bloomsbury (February 2015).
